The City of Gulf Shores is known as "small town, big beach" but this town always comes together in a big way when it comes to those in need. There is nothing small about opening up your heart of gold and shining it on those in their darkest of times! That is just what the K-Kids of Gulf Shores Elementary School do every chance they get.
The K-Kids Club is an international student-led organization that provides members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. Their pledge sums it up so well. As a K-kid, "I promise to serve my neighborhood and my school. I will show respect toward my environment and I will try to make the world a better place in which to live."
These kids all exude the core values of Character building, Leadership, Inclusiveness, and Caring and they have honored Jensen's Heart of Gold in this special time right around Jensen's forever 5 or never 14 birthday. JHG is forever grateful for the continued support of the small town with big hearts and we look forward to watching these amazing kids grow up to do even greater things.
Seen below, the Gulf Shores Elem. School K-Kids collected items to donate to Jensen’s Heart of Gold, non-profit organization in Gulf Shores to benefit local kids with cancer. The K-Kids donated several boxes of items to make chemo care kits in hopes to bring joy and comfort to local kids with cancer.
