J&J's Treasure Chest
Jayden Byrd lost her brother, Jensen, to cancer in 2010. He was 5 years old, She was only 7. Together with her parents, Lynn and Melissa, she began her fundraising efforts to help local families with kids with cancer.
Jensen’s life and struggles with cancer led to the formation of Jensen’s Heart of Gold Foundation.
Although the foundation hosts primarily sporting events, Jayden began to use her artistic talents to form J&J’s Treasure Chest. She sets up her own booth at the events and uses Facebook to promote and sell her crafts and paintings. Since the conception of JHG, she has raised over $10,000.00 on her sales alone. Many people from all over the Southeast have even began to commission her paintings.
Jayden donates 100% of her proceeds to the fight against childhood cancer and she strives to help her family raise awareness of the disease and its need for funding. In each of her paintings, as her signature of support, you will find a gold ribbon which represents childhood cancer.
